The code says where to look. Not what to buy.

A scan tool tells you which test the car failed, not which part is bad. A P0420 might be a tired catalytic converter, or it might be an exhaust leak or a lazy oxygen sensor. We read the codes, watch the live data and test the circuit before we tell you what needs replacing, right in your driveway or work lot.

You might need this if…

  • The check-engine light is on and the car drives fine, for now
  • The check-engine light is flashing and the engine feels rough
  • It cranks over normally but won't fire
  • A warning light shows up on cold mornings and is gone by lunch
  • You replaced the part the code pointed to and the light came back
  • The parts store gave you a code but not an answer

What’s included

On every mobile vehicle diagnostics visit

  • Full code scan, stored and pending
  • Freeze-frame and live data review
  • Battery and charging test
  • Wiring, connector and ground checks
  • A plain explanation of what's wrong and what the fix costs
  • Shop intake if the repair needs a hoist or teardown

How we work

  • Check-engine, ABS, battery and other warning lights
  • No-starts, stalling and faults that come and go
  • Repair on-site when it fits, shop intake when it doesn't

How it goes

  1. Tell us what you're seeing

Note whether the light is solid or flashing, what the car is doing and when it started. A photo of the dash helps. Send it with the vehicle details and your postal code, or call or text.

  2. Scan, then test

We pull the codes and freeze-frame data, watch live data with the engine running, and test the circuits or parts the code points to. The code decides where we look first, not what gets replaced.

  3. You get the answer and the price

We tell you what failed, how sure we are, and what the fix costs. Approve it and we'll do it on-site if it suits a driveway. If it needs a hoist, we take it into a shop and manage it.

Questions about mobile vehicle diagnostics

Is the check-engine light serious?

Solid usually means get it checked soon. Flashing usually means an active misfire, and you should ease off right away because unburnt fuel can overheat and ruin the catalytic converter. If an oil-pressure or temperature warning is on too, pull over and shut it off.

The parts store read my code for free. Why pay for diagnosis?

Reading the code takes a minute. Finding out why it set is the actual job: live data, wiring tests and confirming the fault before anything gets replaced. Skipping that step is how people end up buying three oxygen sensors.

Does the diagnostic visit include the repair?

The visit is to find the fault and price the fix. If the repair suits a driveway and we have the part, we can often do it then and there once you approve it. If it needs a hoist or shop equipment, we take the car in and handle it.

Should I clear the code or disconnect the battery before you come?

Please don't. Clearing codes wipes the freeze-frame data that shows what the engine was doing when the fault happened, and that's often the best clue we get.
